How does the Woman Within® Staffing Application process work?

Woman Within Weekend staff are selected in Woman Within South Central USA following Woman Within International staffing requirements plus South Central regional policy.

  • Applications to staff the Woman Within Weekend in the South Central region should be submitted no later than 30 days prior to the event.
  • You’ll receive notice approximately 15-20 days before the Weekend, depending on participant registrations, stating if you’ve been accepted for staffing, put on a waiting list or advised to do other preparation before you staff.
  • Requests received after the application deadline will be reviewed as needed.
  • Once you are accepted to staff, if you find you are no longer able to staff that Weekend, your Staffing Fee is refundable up to Thursday at 7pm two weeks before the Weekend. If you need to cancel in that two-week window before the Weekend and have not yet paid your Staffing Fee, you will need to pay the Staffing Fee to remain in good standing with Woman Within and Woman Within South Central USA.

What are the requirements to staff?

To staff for the first time, you must:

  • Complete any Woman Within International Woman Within Weekend
  • Complete any Woman Within Staff Training
  • You must be in good financial standing with Woman Within International and all Woman Within Regions
  • You must complete and submit a staff application

As part of your commitment to staff, you must:

  • Pay your staff fee – staffing is done on a volunteer basis; the fee helps cover part of the cost of your room and board. Please note the fee must be paid prior to start of the Weekend. Woman Within South Central USA Staffing Fee is $125.00. We do offer financial assistance. Please contact staffing@womanwithinsouthcentralusa.org to learn more. 
  • Be in ongoing personal self care and personal inner work, beyond staffing the Woman Within Weekend.
  • Complete all staffing paperwork for each weekend you will be staffing. Woman Within International policy requires you to provide updated personal and emergency information prior to arrival at each Weekend. Safety is our utmost concern.

Completion of the Woman Within Staff Training is not necessary to submit a Staff Application;
however, it is a requirement you complete the training before your first time staffing a Woman Within Weekend.

All Staff Members are required to arrive at the Weekend site on Thursday evening by 7pm. Please plan accordingly when applying to staff. If you are unable to arrive by 7pm Thursday, please consider serving as a Comfort Queen as they have more flexible shifts.

  • Please Note: We strive to provide both a vegetarian and gluten-free option at all meals. If you have a specific preferred food plan (WW, Keto, Vegan, etc.) or have food dislikes, allergies, preferences (i.e. tomatoes, peanuts, dairy, etc.) a menu will be provided and you are empowered to bring your own substitutes. Limited refrigerator space will be available with preference given to participants. You are allowed to bring a *small* personal cooler - limited ice will be available.
  • Special diet due to allergies / medical diagnosis / food intolerance / personal preference - I will review the menu and supplement my chosen menu as needed.
  • Any physical limitations that may prevent you from participating in carpet work process (bad back, can't lift, etc.) Any allergies that the Safety Staff needs to be aware of (bee stings, poison ivy, etc.)
