“Cookin’ With Love” a Fundraisermarketing2025-01-09T23:50:48-06:00

Our Cookbook Story

It has been a longstanding dream of the WWSC community to create a cookbook and after
talking about it for almost 18 years, we are thrilled to be launching our first Woman Within South
Central Cookbook Fundraiser, “Cookin’ With Love”.

Cookbooks create a space for expression of creativity, joy, nurturing and exploring new things.
Much like the “pink web” we create on the Woman Within Weekend, this is an opportunity for
our dynamic community of women to collaborate, share our gifts, our wisdom and our joy. Our
cookbook will include favorite recipes from our community members, as well as featuring
favorites from our annual “Share Our Blessings” event and special dishes prepared by the
Kitchen Goddesses at LOMG.

We encourage everyone to get involved with this project and to be represented in our cookbook.
We ask that everyone submit at least 1-2 recipes, and please feel free to submit as many as
you would like. Invite your Circle Sisters to submit recipes as well. We encourage our vegetarian
and gluten-free sisters to submit their favorite recipes so that we have a wide variety of
selections for everyone. We have selected an easy online format to submit recipes, and
entering each recipe only takes a few minutes.

We are also looking for 4-6 women to help with proofing/editing in late July/early August. If you
are interested in helping with this task, or for any questions, please contact Julie Boon.

*Please note: Woman Within programs and circles are neither a therapy group, nor a place for deep process work. You are responsible for your own participation and well-being. If you are consulting with a doctor or therapist we recommend that you seek their approval if you wish to join the guided circle. If emotional issues are triggered, you may need to strengthen your support network and seek professional help through therapy or other healing.
